The Mental Monster Series was the subject of Tijerina's senior project at Otis College of Art and Design in 2022. The series includes multiple soft sculptures of monsters from Tijerina's illustrations made of paper clay, found fabric and other materials. These sculptures were then photographed on an iPhone and edited on Photoshop. Digital illustrations were added in Procreate.
